Remember when MTV actually wasn't contributing to the downfall of modern society? Recently I passed their store in Times Square and all at once memories of those days all avalanched down on me when I spotted one of their t-shirts in the window depicting an 80's skateboard style graphic of a pair of hairy, monster legs coming from the bottom of the famous MTV logo. I was drawn to it like a barracuda to a shiny, silver watch on an unsuspecting diver. It was a visual smorgasbord that did basically what art should do to you and me being an art lover it did just that. It doesn't happen always and not even frequently and I suppose you wouldn't want it to because then you'd eventually grow to take it for granted but when things come along and blow the senses, blow the mind it just reminds you how amazing things can really be. That was just a simple shirt so feast your eyes on Bjork's new video and imagine the mind being blown as it was for me when I saw this thing today. While your at it try to imagine the day, way, way back there, when MTV actually played music videos.
